What is PSE certification?

I. Introduction to PSE certification

PSE certification (Product Safety of Electrical Appliance & Materials), the Japanese government for the implementation of electrical and electronic products market access system, is Japan's "Electrical Products Safety Law" (referred to as "DENAN" DENAN) important content. April 1, 2001, Japan revised the Electrical Safety Law, managed by METI (Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry), METI does not directly issue certificates, but authorized to collaborate with the manufacturer certification bodies to carry out product compliance assessment tests and issue certificates.

PSE certification is a Japanese mandatory safety certification to prove that electrical and electronic products have passed the Japanese Electrical and Material Safety Law (DENAN Law) or the international IEC standards for safety standard testing. Japan's DENTORL Law (Electrical Apparatus and Material Control Law) stipulates that 498 types of products must be certified for safety when entering the Japanese market. Among them, 165 kinds of A products should obtain diamond-shaped PSE mark, 333 kinds of B products should obtain round PSE mark.

Second, the scope of PSE certified products

So far, there are a total of 457 products under the control of the Electrical Products Safety Law. Among them, 116 kinds of products are easy to cause electric shock, fire and other accidents, which are more dangerous, and are categorized as "Specific electrical products - known as Class A electrical products", such as chargers and adapters; the remaining 341 kinds of products with less harmful effects are categorized as "Non-specific electrical products - known as Class B electrical products". The remaining 341 less hazardous products are categorized as "non-specific electrical products - known as Class B electrical products", and most of the large and small home appliances, lamps and lanterns, and lithium batteries belong to Class B.

Application process

1. The customer prepares samples, application form and information to be submitted to the laboratory.

2. The laboratory carries out the test, if it is PSE round, the laboratory will issue a declaration letter.

3. For PSE diamond, factory inspection is also required;

4.After passing the test and factory inspection, the issuing organization will issue the PSE rhombic certificate;
