Introduction of Japan VCCI Certification
VCCI is Japan's electromagnetic compatibility certification mark by the Japan Electromagnetic Interference Control Council (Voluntary
Control Council for Interference by Information Technology Equipment (VCCI) management, VCCI certification is non-mandatory, but information technology products sold in Japan, will generally be required to carry out VCCI certification. Manufacturers should first apply to become a member of VCCI in order to use the VCCI logo. In order to be recognized by VCCI, the EMI test report provided must be issued by a test institute registered and recognized by VCCI. There is currently no standard for immunity in Japan.
Notes on VCCI Certification
Manufacturers are required to be members of VCCI in order to use the VCCI label. Manufacturers around the world can become members of the organization by paying an initiation fee and a yearly membership fee. In other words, after receiving the product test report, the customer has to go to VCCI and pay the membership fee and membership fee in order to use the VCCI label, which is called the procedure of registering in Japan. Products that have passed the VCCI standard will be allowed to be labeled with the correct VCCI label. The A-rated labeling of a product is required to show that the product complies with the RF radiation provisions, and conversely, B-rated products are only required to display the basic VCCI logo symbol. Caveat: i.e. the certification is specific to IT computer peripherals only and is not suitable for any electrical or electronic products.
The VCCI certification period is 4-6 weeks.
