 A-Tick Certification


The A-Tick is a certification mark issued by the Australian Communications Authority (ACA) for communications equipment and has the following requirements:


Import and export must use A-Tick in accordance with the following steps:


(1) The product is tested to ACA technical standards;


(2) Register the use of A-Tick with ACA;


(3) Fill out the "Declaration of Conformity Form" (Declaration of Conformity Form) and keep it together with the product compliance records;


(4) Attach a label with the A-Tick symbol to the communication product or equipment;


(5) Sold to consumers.

Any consumer equipment and consumer cables that can be connected to a carrier's or operating service provider's public telecommunication network are telecommunication products as defined in the labeling notice, e.g., answering machines, cellular telephones, facsimile machines, telephones (including cordless telephones), modems and so on.

 


Factory Inspection for A-Tick Australia

No factory inspection is required.


 


A-Tick Certification for Australia


Since November 2001, EMI applications for Australia and New Zealand have been merged; if the product is to be sold in both countries, the following documents must be readily available to the ACA (Australian Communications Authority) or New Zealand (Ministry of Economic Development) authorities prior to sale The following documents must be available for random inspection by ACA (Australian Communications Authority) or New Zealand (Ministry of Economic Development) authorities at any time prior to sale


(1) The test report must be issued by NATA or a mutually agreeable organization with NATA, such as NVLAP or A2LA accredited laboratories to be valid, or else the rate of requesting samples to be sent for testing is very high;


2) It must be signed by an Australian or New Zealand company or importer. It is the responsibility of the signatory manufacturer to ensure that the product being sold still complies with EMI regulations;


(3) Original design drawings and specifications (e.g. wiring diagrams, block diagrams, User's Manual and Service Manual, etc.);


4) A description of the production inspection procedures during fabrication to ensure that EMI characteristics are maintained;


(5) Any changes that will affect the EMI narrative and the necessary test records.


 


Australia A-Tick certification information


1. The manufacturer of the product for which certification is sought and the contact details of the party applying for certification;


2. a copy of the installation and user manual of the certified product to be provided to the user (if the product does not already have a user manual, a draft copy of the relevant content can be provided);


3. a copy of the electrical schematic diagram of the product and a description of its operating principle;


4. a table of the operating oscillation frequency of the product, which should list the propagation path of the signal and the corresponding oscillation frequency;


5. other product features that need to be explained.


Note: 1) Unless otherwise specified, the above information is provided in English;


2) For the application of multiple models of products, provide the information of each model separately;

3) If the application is a series of products, you need to attach the similarities and differences between different models of products.
